Do I need an evaluation to buy from BlueBay Mobility?
Not for everything. Retail items like rollators, transport chairs, folding power chairs, scooters, lift chairs and accessories can be bought directly from our online store. Complex rehab wheelchairs, such as custom manual chairs, power chairs with power seating and standing chairs, are configured after a clinical seating and mobility evaluation.
What is complex rehab technology (CRT)?
CRT is individually configured mobility equipment, such as custom manual and power wheelchairs, seating and positioning, for people with significant disabilities. It’s selected with your physician and therapist and fitted to your body and goals.
Does Medicare or insurance cover wheelchairs?
Medicare and many insurance plans may cover a wheelchair when medical necessity is documented and the plan’s criteria are met. Coverage depends on the equipment and your plan. Many retail and travel items are bought privately. We review your options before you order.
